Easter Sunday

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Since we had already celebrated Easter with my family, we spent the day with Ben's family. Madi looked really cute in her dress, but as always, it was very difficult to get a good picture of her. So here are my attempts to get a picture of her on Easter!

An Early Egg Hunt

We had Easter with my family this past Sunday because my Uncle, Aunt and Cousin were in town from Virginia Beach. We had a house full, but it was fun! Madi had so much fun trying to find eggs and putting them in her basket. She really likes to put things in baskets anyways, so I knew this was be right up her alley.

Daddy trying to figure out why she had ink on her fast. Still don't know!

Oh Madi, You Crack Us Up!

This video is for all you Big Bang fans (aka Cortney and Trey). Every time this show comes on Madi stops what she is doing and dances to the song at the beginning. I don't know why she loves it more than any other songs of TV, but she does.

As any other toddler, Madi loves keys. She has her own set that she walks around the house with while holding her baby. I guess she has king of figured out what they do now. At least she tried!

A Love/ Hate Relationship

Poor Levi, Madi wouldn't leave him alone with that hairbrush.

Just A Sewing

Here are a few projects I have completed and just forgotten to blog about.

Ruffle pants and a peasant top to match

Capri pants and a shirt to match

This is a project in the works. Finished the shirt and now moving on to the pants. I'll post it when it is done.

Because my husband is awesome, this was ordered today! I have my mom's sewing machine from when she was in college and it still works great, but I wanted to get one of my own.

Can't leave a picture of this little munchkin out! She is enjoying her healthy breakfast of powdered donuts this morning!

Good and Easy Recipe

I made this recipe from Betty Crocker last night and it was so good! Just thought I would share it.

Feta Topped Chicken

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 1/4 lb)
2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette dressing
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1 large roma (plum) tomato, cut into 8 slices
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (1 oz)

  1. 1 Set oven control to broil. Brush both sides of chicken breasts with dressing. Sprinkle both sides with Italian seasoning and seasoned pepper. Place on rack in broiler pan.
  2. 2 Broil with tops 4 inches from heat about 10 minutes, turning once, until juice of chicken is clear when center of thickest part is cut (170°F). Top with tomato and cheese. Broil 2 to 3 minutes longer or until cheese is lightly browned.
