Just A Few Pictures

Madi sitting on the clothes basket drinking her juice.

Trying to take a picture of a 17 month old is quite a challenge!

She is fascinated with things she can sit on. She loves to make anything a chair or stool.

Every night she walks around the house with her baby and multiple bags. She plays "Mommy" for hours. Not sure why she chooses the pumpkin, but she loves it.

Guess baby needed a bath. Not sure why she is in the sink.

This is a video of her playing with her baby. Seriously, she does this every night. Just when you think your children aren't watching what you do.

A Morning With No Puke Is A Good Morning!

The last two mornings, Madi has gotten sick in the car on the way to school. I have no idea what was making her do this. Cleaning up a baby, car and car seat twice is zero fun. Lets just say that no one wants to ride with me in my car. The rest of the day she would be totally fine and acted like nothing was wrong. The doctor said she is either developing motion sickness or still getting used to her "new" ears.
Today we didn't eat breakfast or drink milk. I left her in her pajamas, only gave her juice and wrapped a blanket around her. It was a success! Nothing to clean up today! Hopefully this was just a fluke thing and we will get back to normal soon.

Remember this from last year? My baby has grown so much in one year!

Madi fell asleep at school late in the afternoon. I went to pick her up and she stayed asleep with me carrying her down the hall to my office and laying her on the ground. She was OUT! Sweet girl has had some hard mornings!

The Tubes Are In!

They day finally got here for Madi to get her tubes. We were up bright and early to be at Children's at 5:45 am! I got Madi out of bed changed her diaper and put her in the car. She woke up a little, but never made a sound. I think she was pretty confused about what we were doing. By the time we got to the hospital, she was ready to get down and play. They called us back pretty fast, so we didn't have try and keep her entertained in the lobby for too long. She did not like getting her blood pressure checked at all, but as soon as she saw all the riding cars she was ready to get down and play. They showed us our room and someone came by to check on us and tell us what was going to happen about 5 times. The staff was so sweet and really wanted us to know exactly what would happen. They took Madi back at 6:45 and it wasn't two minutes before the anesthesiologist came back to tell us she did great and the doctor was getting started. Then about 10 minutes later she was in recovery and then she was in our arms. She wasn't happy, but we had her back! She cried a good bit for a while after the procedure, but after we got home and had a good nap- she was back to her normal self. I knew when she asked to go outside, that she must be feeling good!

Playing on the cars.

Getting Ready for Tubes

We went to the ENT today and scheduled Madi to get tubes on March 21st. A week from Monday, we should have our old Madi back! Not that she isn't still the sweetest little girl ever, but we have had some hard days and nights over the past 3 months. I'm just ready for her to feel better!

Our first piece of art work from Madi. This was sent home in her bag yesterday and of course it is posted proudly on the fridge!

We have a little climber these days. I have caught her trying to get on furniture, get in the dish washer and get out of the bath tub. This was her at work yesterday climbing on boxes.

Ear Infections...again!

You can't tell it by these pictures, but little Madi has ear infections AGAIN! She has pretty much had them consistently since December 27th. We are trying a round of 3 shots and if that doesn't knock it out, we are off to the ENT. The doctor took one look at her ears and said they were "hot" and on a scale of 1 to 10, they were a 9. Poor girl! I know she is not going to be happy with me the next two mornings when we have to get these shots, but I sure hope they work!

She is still changing and growing every day. She now says "eat" and points to her high chair when she is hungry.

She says "uh-oh" all the time! She doesn't understand that she can't throw something on purpose and then say "uh-oh", but we are learning.

She has learned to give kisses and kisses her babies all the time. Every once in a while she gives Mommy and Daddy a kiss too! I'm pretty sure she slipped a few to Asher (her boyfriend) because he has ear infections too.

She is becoming a full on toddler- temper tantrums and all! When she doesn't get her way she usually falls face down to the ground crying or just starts shouting "no, no, no".

She will say "night, night" and lay her head down on the ground.

She definitely knows what she wants and is not shy about telling you in one way or another.

She thinks she is a little mommy and loves her baby dolls. She holds them, rocks them, feeds them and pokes at their eyes.
